Very excited about this Small Business Summit coming to Seattle. I like the innovative approach a big corporation like Dex is using by partnering with a strong, indie organization like Biznik, incorporating local speakers into the lineup and doing the entire event later in the day.

Thx to Lara and Matt of Biznik for stepping up and making sure Seattle was on the map for this year's tour.

This was a great event! Helpful, informative...I got a lot out of it. Thank you.

I am wondering, however, if I somehow missed on getting my website review. Was I supposed to sign up for something at the event, or will there be some kind of follow-up?

Thanks for the great event, Barry!

I, too, would love to have someone from Dex contact me about the free website review.

I ended up with my survey coming home with me (though I did a lengthy recorded Q & A about its value). Was wanting to wait until after the breakout groups to turn the survey in, and then forgot in all the excitement.

Is there some way to do the survey online, or an address I can mail it to?

    Thanks again.

This event provided some excellent general information regarding marketing in the digital age. Thanks to Barry, Lara, Matt, and Dex for putting this on! Hopefully attendees can now better determine how to implement the strategies outlined at the event. And there are a lot of Biznik resources available to those why need or want extra help, so take a look around your Biznik community.

There are resources outside of Biznik available, such as the Seattle Web Marketers Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/Seattle-Web-Marketers/) and the Seattle SEO Network (http://www.meetup.com/Seattle-SEO-Network) Both of these groups meet monthly and can provide a wide range of resources. So check them out!

    Thanks for the links, Gregor.

So awesome to see so many folks last night. Over a dozen people thanked me personally for the providing such a impactful event(!) Really we need to thank Dex Digital. It was their generosity and forward thinking that brought together the rich content and compelling presenters on topics that are so relevant to small businesses right now.

SEO, SEM, pay-per-click advertising, social media, networking, branding. Running a small business requires us to become proficient on each of the topics. What a gift to have experts not only bringing us up to speed on these topics but also offering viable partnership solutions. The more you outsource, the more time you'll have to focus on your core business, and the more effort you can spend on innovating and growing your business.

I presented a talk on the five rules of engagement for networking entitled, Your friends don't trust you. Nor should they.

An overview of my talk with links to the resources I cited has been published to the Biznik blog. The slide deck is available on Slideshare -- here.

I loved the event but Biznik thinks I wasn't there. Anyone else getting this message, and is there a way to fix it? I don't want to be known as a no-show. I was there for multiple beginnings of Barry's speech!

I was very impressed with the number of people who attended - I've mentioned to other small business people that there were hundreds attending. However, I see in an above showing of pictures that it seemed only 19 Bizniks attended - and I don't show there as well. Must have been more attending; are were the majority truly 'walk-ins?!

I have a question. Since part of this event was a great opportunity to network with other small businesses - and since there was no way to be able to touch base with so many in attendance - do you plan to provide us attendees with a list of all attendees so that we can make 'networking' contact after the event?

My compliments to all - Biznik, Dex/Digital, Barry - very professional event ... and the food was terrific!!

Sorry for the confusion caused by the delayed attendance recording -- yes, I heard over 325 had RSVP'd on the DexDitigal side. We're working with the folks from the registration desk to get the final list.

Richard, you asked about networking with others after the event. You hit the nail on the head! That's why social networks like Biznik are so powerful. They provide technology that encourages networking before and after the face-to-face meetups. Biznik's Basic Membership enables direct messaging to other users. If you've never tried Biznik membership, you can try Basic for 30 days for a buck! :)

If you want to learn more, here's a break down on all three membership levels.

This was a very informative event! Thank you to everyone who made it possible from Dex Digital to Biznik to the Bell Harbor Conference Center staff. Barry Moltz's presentation was entertaining and useful by reminding me where to focus in promoting my business. The panel discussion was very engaging, informative and fun. And I second the shout out to Dafna Michaelson--her Social Media 101 presentation was thought-provoking and informative. The give-aways were most appreciated: books, pads, and excellent marketing support materials. And the food was good, too! Thanks everyone!
