Event description

What happens when the art of Shameless Bragging meets the experience of Speed-Networking?

You'll discover the most efficient way to make more connections in less time than a traditional networking event.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will start off this evening event with an introductory lesson on the most effective way to meet someone for the very first time.

Then you will experience a 5 Minute Networking Event. It is the most efficient way to make connections. Compared to traditional mixers where attendees meet only 2 to 3 individuals, attendees meet up to 20 individuals, one-on-one in 5 minute increments.

What you can expect at this event:

  • You won't stand up to introduce yourself to a group
  • You won't need to break into an ongoing conversation
  • You won't need to hand out or collect business cards
  • You won't stand around hoping to meet someone

5 Minute Networking has been featured in FORTUNE, Entrepreneur, Millionaire Blueprints, and in several local publications, TV and radio!

Come join us for an evening that is both social and profitable.

    Hi Howard,

I had a question: If I show up at 630-7pm, will that eliminate the whole purpose of the event?

The reason I ask is because I have to be in a meeting until 5pm at work (I'm sure you heard about the layoffs that happened today at WaMu/JPMorgan Chase) - this will delay my arrival until at least 630-7pm due to the bus commute from Seattle northwards and then to Redmond.

If so, please go ahead and allow someone else to take my spot. I am also curious if you and Louis will be putting up another event just like this in the future? Please let me know. Thanks.

John... Your welcome to join in late. It may not be the total experience, but you will gain some connections. As for us doing the event again in the future, will depend on how tonight goes. ...Howard

I am planning on attending the event. Does anyone live in West Seattle that could possibly offer me a ride home? The bus back from Redmond at night is a real bear!

    THX!

Sorry I wasn't able to make it tonight. As I mentioned in a previous post I had a conflict at work. Hope today's event went well which would result in another type of similar event being setup! Looking forward to the feedback from the attendees.

    Thanks.

Great experience. I hoped to meet Louis and talk more about his website and services. It was a great way to connect. Two thoughts for next time: 1) be clear that business cards WILL be exchanged so people come prepared; and 2) I'd like to see clearer directions to the venue in the event description (all Biznik venues, all events). Not all mobile devices display maps and this particular venue was not well lighted or readily identifiable (name, address display?), esp at night.

Otherwise I look forward to more of these speed events. They make a lot of sense. I made some valuable connections.

Thanks Louis and Howard for hosting this event, and Gail for facilitating. I enjoyed the format and met some great people. It was fun learning about everyone's businesses and expanding my horizons.

I'll echo what Richard said about directions. Now that I know where it its, it's easy to find :) But driving around on a rainy night - not so easy! Also, available water bottles would have been great, I was parched!

Thanks for the positive comments and suggestions.

We will make sure directions are spelled out better for upcoming events. Bringing business cards wil be added to the invitation next time so everyone is better prepared.

Most important is that everyone made real business connections and had fun.
