Event description

This month we have THREE wonderful guest speakers, Karen Roehl of Clear Living, Nancy Hellstrom of Interior Shift, and Karen Floyd of Innate Design! They'll be helping us explore how our workspace (and the stuff in it) affects our businesses, our work, and ourselves - our mood, emotions, our energy.

Look around your workspace right now. (Yes, now!) Is it helping you or hurting you?

Is it an environment that inspires you to do and be your best, or is it an obstacle to your success? How does it make you feel? Can you find what you need? Are there papers piled everywhere? Or are you hiding in a Starbucks with your laptop because you can't stand even being IN your home office!?

And if clients/customers meet you at your workspace, how does it make them feel!? Does it make them want to come back often or leave as soon as possible? What does your workspace communicate about you and your business?

Find out how
-color
-design
-paper
-clutter

affect you and your business, and get some practical advice on how to clear your clutter, transform your office, and change your own experience of yourself in your workplace. You'll also learn about further resources to help you make and maintain the changes you want.

Karen Roehl is a Professional Organizer and the co-developer of the File It and Find It System, and has helped many people conquer their clutter and paper problems. As someone who has not always been 'naturally" organized, she has also coached people to understand their natural organizing style, giving "Personality-Styled Organizing" workshops.

Karen also helps people create "Conscious Kitchens" that lead to the health of both their bodies and the environment! She had energized her own life as well as her business through healthy, holistic solutions. http://clearliving.biz

Nancy Hellstrom is a Professional Color Consultant and Decorative Finish Artist (using decorative interior finishes such as Italian plaster, specialty paints and glazes), also gifted in re-decorating, design, and organizing. Her portfolio even includes work on a Street of Dreams home! She specializes in helping people create an environment that truly nurtures and energizes their highest intentions. (Plus, she's a great garage sale coach!) http://interiorshift.com/

Karen Floyd is a Residential Designer with a degree in Interior design and a graduate of the Art Institude of Seattle. Also an intuitive coach (with a host of transformational tools in her toolbox), she helps people shift their lives from the “inside out” and also from the “outside in”!

Karen looks at one’s environment as a reflection of where people are and where they’ve been. She knows that when your intention is to make significant changes in your life, that your environment can either support you or hold you back. Among other things, Karen helps people de-clutter and create spaces that bring them peace and joy. http://www.designabetterlife.com/

Come join today's conversation, bring your questions, and learn how some small changes in your external environment can lead to big changes for you -- and your business!

We're at a lovely new venue today, to celebrate the topic. Friends, Philosophy and Tea (formerly the Zenai Center) is a "green" building, teahouse, events center, and co-op space. Across from Applebee's on Bel-Red Road.

This is obviously a very popular subject these days, especially with more and more people working from home. I'm wondering if you will hold another gathering on the same topic at a later date. I would love to attend, but it's already filled up. Or can I "squeeze" in? ;) Thanks, Stephanie

Nancy and Maulitta, I'll miss having you two and your extpertise,

Stephanie, I am opening up a few more seats as soon as I type this, yes, we can squeeze some more in.

Thanks to all for checking in the posts with regrets and requests. I've been out of town and offline for a few days, so I apologize for the lack of response.

And I hope the old comments about the date moving isn't confusing - it WAS moved to this Wed, Sept 30!
