am going to see if I can juggle a few things to make this event - I have NEVER walked around Lake Padden. I saw it once...... sounds like the size of Greenlake in Seattle.. just under 3 miles for GL.

What a great idea I wish I got off work earlier. I hope you have another later one when the days are longer so I could go (: Lori Padden is great as there are not a lot of big hills and it is beautiful around the lake. Just be prepared for some mud. Bliss

Hi, Delaine, I apologize for having to cancel, but as a new volunteer at the MT. Baker Theater, I just got called to help on Thursday for Annie and have to be there at 5:30, all dressed up. It might be cutting it a little close to walk, drive all the way home to change, and get down there. I do want to do this again, though! Great idea. When it gets dark later, we can do it after 5:30 or 6:00 for those who can't come during business hours.

This may sounds funny but when it's not raining I like to walk and read. I seem to read faster that way. I believe the same applies to walking and talking so be aware and if I get rattling too much just shut me down okay? Looking forward to listening as well.

I have a writer's group I like to tuck into on Tuesdays or thursdays. Since I live in LaConner, I am not too nearby, but I will try to go to writers practice in Fairhaven and then meet for a walk--my favorite activity! Walking and talking bizness .. how cool.

thanks for the opportunity. I'll sign up over the weekend when I see my next week's schedule more clearly.

Hi Delaine Thank you for hosting this event, it was exhilarating. I enjoyed meeting you and Naomi (and Andy). The fresh air opened my mind to possibilities. This is an activity that can be enjoyed by two or one hundred and two.

yes, it would be fun to have at least a monthly regularly scheduled Biznik walk - anyone else game??

in fact, now that we are in the Semiahmoo neighborhood, I propose a walk up here - park at the resort, and walk down the spit and back - then have coffee or tea??

Thanks Delaine, I think a monthly or even more often is a great idea. Maybe we can take turns hosting the event in the areas in which we live.

OK, I would love to host the next one - what is a good time / day for those of you interested at this point? If we get a few sign ups early, there is sure to be more interest - plus, people may want to carpool here, although it is just about 19 miles from B'ham.

Monday and Tuesday work for me all this month, any time works too. I am on the list for hosting one... I think we need to decide if we want to stay with monthly or, since spring/summer is soon to arrive, do we want to try weekly or bi-weekly. Delaine, since you are the original host, I feel we should respect that and all work with your thoughts on this.
