Hi Naomi, Lori and Greg,
This is just what I'm looking for...a way to understand Twitter more.
Thanks for putting this event together. See you on the 23rd.

Twitter - it's the social media micro-blogging service that everyone seems to be "tweeting" about!
Maybe you've heard of Twitter, but you're not sure if it's right for you or your business. Perhaps you're already tweeting, but still lost in the lingo and finding it difficult to keep up with.
In this class we'll talk about three ways to visualize or understand Twitter, social media and Twitter statistics, Twitter lingo, basic Twitter functions, how to set up an account and get started, and some tools to manage Twitter. We'll have a computer hooked up to a big screen to demonstrate all of this for you.
You'll leave with a better understand of what Twitter is, how it works, and whether it's a social media tool you want to use to connect with your community and promote your business.
Location! This event will be located in the Foundation building in the conference center #201. A map can be found at http://www.whatcomcommunityed.com/maps/wccmap.htm

Thanks for being the first RSVP, Angel! I look forward to meeting you. :)
YAY I was sooo excited you are repeating this event and I can go. Hooray. Can't wait!
I'm glad the community college is able to help host another event. I will be posting location instructions shortly.
Thanks Naomi, Lori & Greg - It's so nice that you have come up with a practical approach to social networking. Being told you should do it is very different than actually being shown how to do it! I look forward to learning how to use Twitter correctly.
Looking forward to seeing all of you today. Do we have a specific location on campus yet? Or am I just missing that info here somewhere?
It's NEXT week! :) Greg is going to post more specific directions.
duh...thanks Naomi! I shouldn't make time go faster than it already is, huh?
Hi Naomi,
Do you know what building we need to go to?
Thanks,
Angel Perry www.americandreamhomecenter.net
OMG I am so glad that I got this msg in my email about upcoming events ... otherwise I would have missed it!
Looking forward to meeting YOU Naomi and Greg ... also seeing Lori again! Thank you so much for putting this on ... I kinda feel like a "Twit" when it comes to "Tweeting"
Naomi,
I hope you are going to do this another time. I cannot make it to this one and definitely would like to do it at another time.
Bill
This looks like it will be a great talk. I cannot make this one but look forward to others.
Thanks Greg for posting location info!

The Foundation building is behind Cruisin Coffee. Turn into Calluna Court. Yes, it's THAT pink building!
Hi Naomi, I am so sorry I can't make this one. I hope you WILL do it again!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone! Parking is free at the college so if you can't find parking immediately in front of the building, you can park anywhere on campus. First week of school and lots of students.
Be sure to check out Naomi's amazing article on Twitter that she wrote for Biznik. It is one of the top read articles on Biznik, with 116 comments at last count. It will be good reading pre-event:
Lori
Sorry I can't make it, having to to take a last minute trip to CA this week and I can't get anymore time off of work. Bliss
I think I'm also not going to be able to make it, sorry.
Missed seeing you, Bliss and Cindi, and the others who couldn't make it! Hope to see you next time. :)
Hi everyone,
I'll be emailing you all a link to the Twitter Tips handout soon (or may post it as an article).
In the meantime, here's a neat link I just found about setting up Facebook fan pages:

Mashable.com (@mashable on twitter) is a great resource. He tweets a lot but it's really useful information. Here's a link to the Mashable Twitter Guidebook:
Hi Naomi and Greg,
It was a great class, learned lots. It seems like it's endless information. I am going to check out mashable.com, thanks for sharing that info.
Looking forward to going to another one of your events on twitter and social media.
Take Care....

Please feel free to email us with questions. I think I can speak for both of us when I say we love to help people with social media!
all, I am sorry I was stuck in Seattle and couldn't get back for the event. I would like to recommend coming to any of my WCC social media classes - they are right around the corner, and I'd love to see any and all of you there! If you are beyond basic, then you can serve as a resource - so there is no down side to these basic level classes -
