Nov 09, 2009 Do I have to upgrade to be on the waiting list for this event?
-
Posted by Kaya Singer, Portland, Oregon |
Nov 09, 2009 Melissa Not sure how that works but i"ll find out. I am just about to send out an e-mail to the group and if someone says they can't come I'll let you know asap.

Nov 09, 2009 Yes Melissa, the ability to be on the wait list is a paid benefit at either the Pro or ProVIP level. For example, I am a paid member and am on the waiting list for this event.
When/If the host (Kaya) opens more seats or if one of the RSVPs cancels, then I am automatically notified.
That is one reason why people who discover that they cannot make an event remove their RSVP so that others may attend.

Nov 09, 2009 Thanks for explaining this Tshombe. I just learned something new!
Dave and I will talk about it and decide if we want to open more spaces and will let you know. I am so happy for all the interest. I guess we need to schedule another one soon!

Nov 10, 2009 Thank you Dave and Kaya for hosting a fabulous lunchtime event!
3 great points I'm taking away are:
The value and importance of being crystal clear on a specific target market
How simple is best! Communicating a specific target market that is short and simple makes it easy for people to remember what you say and to refer you to others.
Have a clear marketing PLAN. Know when and why you're doing a piece of marketing and how it connects with your overall purpose.
Loved the openness of the group and willingness to play full out.
I also owe everyone an apology for leaving early. I thought the event ended at 1 pm, so that's what I allocated. Forgive me for now paying attention to the posted time for the event!

Nov 10, 2009 Thanks Dave and Kaya for a fun and thought provoking event.
Tshombe thanks for outlining the three great points that I will be taking away form the event as well. I particularly love the idea that Dave brought up, about creating a message that is so simple and precise that people can remember the message and effectively communicate it to other potential clients or in my case wine drinkers.
Thanks everybody it was nice visiting.
And remember a little wine is good for the soul. Cheers

Nov 11, 2009 Thanks Kaya and Dave for hosting. It was good to meet all of you!
I agree with all the comments. I especially liked Kaya's suggestion of specifically targeting one type of client and tuning in to his or her emotions.
I mentioned our meeting to a client this afternoon and she offered to pass along my cards to her physician. I think our clients are happy to help spread the word when given a tiny nudge in the right direction.
