Event description

Since so many bizniks like the idea of Walk and Talks, I am going to host a bunch of them. This one is the day before I depart for Austin. While I am away, Susan Evans has graciously agreed to carry the Capitol Hill Walk Talk Torch rolling.

Please have your devices turned off. The focus is on face-to-face connection and being aware of our surroundings--not taking calls and please, try to resist twittering, I know it can be hard, but let's attempt to have a Twitter-free 45 min. if we can. (Maybe we should have a therapist on hand to handle withdrawal symptoms.)

Meet at the Black Sun in Volunteer Park (the big donut-like sculpture across from the Asian Art Museum--pictured on the Capitol Hill Group page). We'll depart for our walk at 9:05, heading north so if you are late, run and catch up.

Don't dress to impress--comfortable shoes and warm clothes are what these Walk and Talks are all about.

Rain, sleet, snow or shine.

Dog friendly event.

Looking like another great Walk and Talk coming up...

Great to see some repeaters on the list from last time and some who missed us last time too.

It's never the same walk twice!

    See you soon...

    Hi Karrie,

Is this a dog friendly event? If so, I'd love to post on "Dog Lovers Unite" group!

Yes, in fact, Karen L. brought her little pup last time. Feel free to add it to Dog Lovers Unite.

Exciting to see your new group posted, Steve! Glad I egged you on!

Anyone with a dog or who loves dogs should hop on over to Steve's group and join.

A perfect day for a walk.

Fun to meet several of you who I didn't know, and of course, loved seeing all of those who I already knew. A great group today.

Be sure to check out the other Walk and Talks that are happening all over town. Especially this one Susan is hosting on Capitol Hill.

Think about hosting one in your neighborhood, and if you are on Cap Hill, hey, the more the merrier. It would be great if there were walk and talks going on every day--morning, noon and night! Then when you feel like walking, you know there is a walk to join.

Have a great week. Hope to see you all again soon.

Thanks for organizing this Karrie. This is a great opportunity to get out of the office and make great new business contacts.. I can attest to that from my own experience this morning!

Yeah, Heather, I heard that several people are planning to meet with you to design or teach them how to build a garden in their yard. Walking and talking is good for business!
