Biznik members and guests...
Please join us for an extended Friday casual lunch at Apollo's Pizza & Pasta in West Olympia (right next to Grocery Outlet).
This will be a networking event only, so there will plenty of time to get to know each other's businesses in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone will have the opportunity to give a short speech about their business, skills, and ideal leads.
If you haven't been to Apollo's before, the pizza is outstanding! We will have a private room with plenty of seating.
The event is free. You are not required to eat, but Apollo's does have a $75 minimum order per party for reserved rooms. We can either order individually or eat family style.
Biznik members: you are invited to bring a guest; however, please have them sign up for a free Biznik membership and confirm they are coming. (I don't want to surprise the restaurant with too many people.)
It's been a couple of months since our last Olympia Biznik event, so let's have a great turnout for this one!

Since we have 14 people that plan to attend now (based on confirmations on the Facebook Event page that I cross-listed to here), I have increased the cap on the event and will notify Apollo's to expect more people. Their larger room should be able to handle up to 25 people, so although I have increased the event size to 20, I could add a few more if necessary.

I've been coaching youth soccer at the Y for 4 years. At first it was because of my kids, but I've really taken to the sport, and enjoy helping the kids develop their playing and teamwork skills. I look forward to the games all week.
Should be a great Biznik meeting. I raised the cap to 25 because I think we're going to need it. :)

Yes, there's nothing more fulfilling than to see kids go from zero to team player. It's not about wins...but character building. The amazing thing....when kids develop the character and team mentality, the wins come far greater than ever expected.

The reason the post was deleted is because, 1) the post contained a value judgment about the person's character, 2) Biznik strictly enforces a No-MLM policy, and the membership of the person has been terminated, and 3) the comments area of an event, is not an appropriate place for this kind of alert.
Each Biznik member has the ability to flag another member for inappropriate behavior or violations of Biznik's Terms of Service. The flag feature can be found in the bottom left corner of each person's profile. When someone is flagged, a message is sent to the Biznik admin and appropriate action is taken. When a person is flagged, that person is not notified of the flag.
Biznik employee, Christian Jacobsen, recently wrote a blog post about the power of using the flag tool: It's Your Community - Own It!
Biznik's No MLM policy
Membership in Biznik is closed to representatives of multi-level marketing and network marketing companies. The No-MLM Policy is outlined in Biznik's Terms of Service, which member agrees to when they join Biznik. Awesome turnout everyone! I'm very excited about this event. I think we can really get Biznik rolling down in the Olympia area.
I'll start lining up another Meet and Greet for April. I'd like to make the last Friday of the month a regular Meet and Greet event day.

Yes, I love volunteering as a youth soccer coach. It's my one volunteer outlet that is totally unrelated to business. I find it very gratifying to help shape the minds of young kids through team sports. It's also helped me develop my leadership skills. Part of the the reason I've become more comfortable taking a leadership roll in organizations like Biznik is my coaching experience.
Those of you looking to build your leadership responsibilities, I highly recommend volunteering for a youth organization.
