Event description

NEW - Drawing! At the end of the event one participant will win a free Voice Dialogue session.

As human beings we each have multifaceted personalities, and as entrepreneurs the challenge is getting each facet to shine in a way that helps our work flourish. This event offers a lighthearted but highly useful encounter with some of the "inner selves" that can help or hinder your business. Come meet "The Pusher," "The Pleaser," "Inner Entrepreneur," and "Procrastinator," to name just a few, and find out how to balance them more creatively and effectively in your business and your life.

When you get up in the morning and focus on your goals for today, do you ever stop to think what part of yourself are you bringing to work with you? Is your inner entrepreneur present and ready to get going on what it takes to succeed? Or, do you find yourself procrastinating, doing the least important things first, putting off the big steps you know you need to take?

And, if your business is booming, do you have an off switch for the parts of you that are totally focused on success? Can you get away from work, spend time with your partner, your children, or just enjoy yourself? Are you able to let go of the business and create a healthy balance of work and play, responsibility and self care?

These questions highlight some of the different parts of our personalities that can be really helpful (yes, even the procrastinator) when they're in balance. It's no fun, though, when we get stuck in one gear and can't seem to shift gracefully and appropriately into other modes of operation.

At this event we'll introduce you to a process called Voice Dialogue that makes it easy to get to know some of your inner selves and use them to better advantage in your business. We'll start by introducing ourselves to each other - saying what we do and also who we suspect might be running our business. Which selves we focus on during our hour and a half together will depend on your interests and those of the whole group. We'll demonstrate what it's like to talk with these different selves, and give you some fun exercises for creating balance on your own.

Come join us for an hour and a half of discovery - come away with new insight and tools for greater work/life balance, and new energy for you and your business. We'll be presenting from noon to 1:30 and then there will be 15 minutes of networking time. Want more time to network? Feel free to come early, get some lunch, and schmmooze before we start.

(Mosaic Coffeehouse serves soup and quiche as well as coffee and baked goods - they even have some gluten-free items :))

Wow, great focus! Would love to come (especially for gluten-free goodies) but it's hard to peel away midday...Any chance you'll offer a morning, evening, or weekend class?

    Megan,

Thank you so much for your enthusiasm. So far the midday format has worked well for this event - we've had a lot of people attending each time. We'd like to try one on the east side soon, and perhaps an evening one will happen next year. We do offer weekend workshops and trainings through The Voice Dialogue Institute - visit us online at (http://www.thevoicedialogueinstitute.org).

Miriam, Thank you to you and Cassandra on this awesome workshop. I appreciate you presenting the information in a very "user friendly" and fun manner! I can definitely relate to the various "voices" that we hear and now I know how to incorporate them all in a positive way to bring about personal and professional growth. I'd recommend this to all entreprenuers. Regards, Kathy
