Tonight's Topic is: The Customer Flirtation and Seduction matrix

Sometimes we are so intent on gaining a customer we neglect to see if we have marketed ourselves to the RIGHT customer. To quote Rags; "Most people aren't worth the trouble it takes to seduce them." This is true in dating as well as in the indie business environment. Perhaps you gain a customer but lose too much in the process to make it worth your time. Rags Madison is a master at getting his message to the right leads, the perfect potential clients, and, customers who not only pay, but are grateful to know him. He does this by focusing on the three characteristics he has found are the reasons we date certain people: chemistry, affinity and community. As a former advertising agency rainmaker he also has a few things to say about the buying cycle (read; timing). Maybe you disagree and maybe you don't. Whatever your thoughts about the selling cycle, you must admit, you have never engaged in that kind of conversation with a professional gigilo. By the way, the word 'schnein' is from the Old German root for 'snow'... in case you didn't know. Although the event is free, you are encouraged to buy a good glass of wine at the very cheap price of $2, or, a plate of Tapas at the very cheap price of $2. Please tip the bartender a buck because, well, they work hard for the money and Rags has to emcee the Little Red Studios Pink Show this weekend, naked. The staff can be... brutal. Just like indie business.

HI Rags I haven't seen you for awhile! Yes, I know the importance of flirting or convincing clients to buy on what I'm selling- ad space.

Hi Rags, I really wanted to attend, but did not realize the time, which conflicts with my Wednesday nights. I hope to attend a future event hosted by you.

Rags, this event look like such FUN! I've got a previous commitment and am not going to be able to make it, but I hope to see you soon. (I still want to come to your show, I've just been swamped with business and sick father, who is fortunately doing better now!) Maybe you'll offer this again with more warning?

Kate, thank you for the lovely sentiments! My next appearance at the Little Red Studios will probably be December 18th, 2009 for the Gold Show and I am negotiating a December Pink Show appearance. Hope that helps. As for the next; Customer Flirtation and Seduction Matrix... I have heard from several people offline that Wednesday nights is rough and have been asked to do one in the daytime. I am looking into that and will post soon. Have fun with your 59 RSVP's today! Break a leg, as we say!
