Subscribe to Indie Biz Q&A Do you sell e-books via PayPal?

I have a merchant account on PayPal and know there's a way to have people buy and receive downloadable products in that system. Is anyone using PayPal for this? Does it work well?

Thanks for any input you can provide!

Yes, and yes. However when people buy my e-book their sale is linked to my Aweber account. They get an e-m ail from me automatically and in that e-mail is a link to a web page where their book is.

I like doing it this way because they get on my data base automatically and I can stay in contact with them if I want to.

If you want to do it this way contact me and I'll tell you how I did it. Kaya

Thank you, Kaya! I use Aweber too so I'll probably take you up on your offer and try to get in touch with you soon.

The Aweber method is fine but don't forget Clickbank or Paydotcom.com. Both sites re specifically for the fulfillment of digital products. They also manage an affiliate program for you. Easy and not unreasonable cost wise.

Hi Richard, I appreciate hearing about some different options. I didn't know about Clickbank or Paydotcom so I'll explore these.

After a great deal of time, expense, and going through a few web developers, I discovered that the only solution is a 3rd party.

For me, that's PayLoadZ, which I highly recommend, but then I don't collect people's names. If they say who referred you, please say QC Computing.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
