Come on now, don't everyone speak at once.
I know my intention was a little transparent, but I thought someone would support the cause.

I recently posted an announcement about a reunion of alumni of Elmers Court School. "Elmers Court School" is what it was called when my wife, Helen, attended in the '60s. Now it's the fancy Elmers Court Hotel which is a resort like spot on a very nice location next to the New Forest (when my wife was attending Elmers Court School, she remembers going for walks there when the Blue Bells were in bloom).
Anyway, some of the folks from Elmbers Court have organized their first reunion, I thought it would be nice to put it on our blog so that others might more easily find it.
In doing so I added a link the the site that has the reunion details - the site is called FriendsReunite. The link I added specifically talked about the Elmers Court School Reunion, but alas, today that link doesn't take you to the page talking about the Elmbers Court School Reunion at all: it takes you to the registration page.
That's what I find irritating and I am wondering if you know what can be done to keep that from happening.
Incidently, Elmers Court has an interesting history. During WWII it was where some of the spies for our side hung out. There is a picture of Elmers Court as it looks now on my blog if you want to take a look.
I took the link to the registration page off the post...
BTW, Elmers Court is in Lymington, England. A very nice place with a fabulous B & B run by a nice lady named Dorothy.
If you have any tips on how to keep a link the way you want it, please let me know.

Blue bell wood is the place Dennis mentioned, more like a carpet of blue bells as far as the eyes could see! With the sun coming down through the trees in the New Forest, one would think they were in a dream... The market on the high street every Saturday has been there since the 1940s! Yep folks, 70 years. You can't beat tradition....
Hey Dennis,
Unfortunately, that is the nature of links... you do not have any control over what you are linking to. The site owner can redirect you anywhere they like.
The best thing to do is to write to their webmaster and tell them what your intent was, and if there is a way to still provide that service for your readers, or if you should just stop linking to them entirely.
(Techie Geeky thing: My guess is that the site admin saw people coming into their site via something other than the front page, and got irritated that someone was "deep linking" on their site. So they forced people from your domain to go to the Registration Page instead. This is pedantic and petty, but sys admins are not generally known for their highly developed understanding of business principles or social skills... ;-)
This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
