Subscribe to Indie Biz Q&A Event Calendar for WordPress

I need a plug-in (or even a concept) for organizing blog posts in WordPress that will give the appearance much like Biznik's event page

Do you know of such a thing, or even have examples of WordPress blogs that are listing events (with descriptions, not just date/venue info)?

I will probably be building on a Thesis theme but maybe not.

Have you tried searching through WordPress to see if there are any already there you can install? Also google for WordPress calendar plugins. You'd be surprised what is out there.

Silly question - but are you on WordPress.org (standalone)? Because WordPress.com doesn't allow plugins of this level.

Thesis is an excellent theme and has a lot of great stuff in it.

    Good luck

DeBorah, indeed, I have done as you suggest, and have found so many calendar plugins etc, but so far have found none that give me the layout I want.

Keith Millington offers code to make happen pretty much what I want but it looks a little over my head. I might have to tackle it, though.

Oh, and yes, I am on WordPress.org--stand-alone. Good point.

Hey Leila, thanks for the link to Millington's info. Yes, a bit of work, but could be the solution. I notice that it was posted in 2008 though, so you'll have to go through the thread and see if there are any hiccups along the way of WordPress updates. Good luck!

Bob, good point about the original post date, and it looks like Mr. Millington hasn't been recently active on that website at all; perhaps I will drop him a line.

In the meantime, I will keep looking. I need to do this for a client, so I have to make something happen.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
