Subscribe to Indie Biz Q&A Invoicing clients thru merchant account via Mac

Hi.

I'm repeatedly running into a wall on how to resolve my invoicing dilemma. Back in the days of PC I set up a merchant account thru Quickbooks where I could automatically process credit card payments for my clients. Now that I'm on the Mac I no longer have that capability. QB for Mac doesn't interface with the merchant account feature. I've looked into MYOB, but wasn't wild about having to re-set up another merchant account and paying $99 to do so. I've also looking into iBiz which looks great, but there is no merchant account availability. Someone even pointed me to Freshbooks which I've used in the past for invoicing alongside PayPal, but isn't compatible with my current merchant. Is anyone out there set up as a merchant on their Mac and if so what are you using and what are the fees, if you don't mind my asking?

Thanks in advance,

--dawn

    Hi Dawn --

I use a local merchant account provider -- Mike Lynch . . . if you want his contact information, send me your email information and I'll have him follow up with you directly.

I am also a Get Clients NOW! licensed facilitator and through GCN we have access to a great service that you can access as well . . . check out: http://www.practicepaysolutions.com

Practice Pay Solutions is designed specifically for solopreneurs and VA's . . . (which I finally found one, by the way . . . why are you folks so darned difficult to find???) Invaluable but like hens teeth! ;-)

    Hope that helps!

    Best,

    Bill

Dawn PPS is just one way to get that job done. As a Mac user you will need an online processing system which is what PPS is offering on their site. I also have solutions for you in this arena if you would like to hear what we have to offer give me a call. thanks Art T. (206) 235-5446
