Subscribe to Indie Biz Q&A Is anyone using animations as part of their marketing?

I'm wondering how this is working for those of you who have used this viral marketing technique. I'm considering trying it out but want and need more information.

The idea is to create a one minute animated story that connects to my business. This story then gets put on YouTube, on my site and sent around in emails because it is so very fabu.

I think this is a great idea. I love the animations that Common Craft does on their site (http://www.commoncraft.com/) and I know they get a lot of pr from it. If done correctly it could give you thousands of dollars in free press and backlinks.

Thanks for your comments - I think I am going to hold off on doing this - as cool as it is, it doesn't make $$ sense for me right now. Perhaps in a year!

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
