Subscribe to Indie Biz Q&A short-term admin temp in Seattle?

I need to find someone to spend a day, maybe two helping me sort out some receipts from the past 3 years. Essentially what they'll be doing is sorting, scanning, and documenting a few hundred receipts.

What's my best option for finding someone to do this? A temp firm?

    Michael,

Just a thought - try Elizabeth Lee, a fellow Biznik. She's a star at organizing, and would be WAAYYY more self-directed than anyone you hired from a temp agency. I'll shoot an intro over after I post this.

    Best wishes,

    Valerie

Michael: I have a client who actually lives in Nevada and sent me three huge Rubbermaid bins full of papers, unopened mail, miscellanoeus items like a 1987 original Sony Walkman and pounds of junk mail dating back 2 years.

I went through every paper and organized them accordingly, created an on-going file system for his 5 entities and even matched bank receipts with statements....

As a professional organizer I often have clients who will hand me Safeway bags full of receipts with panic looks on their faces.

Never fear, Seattle Organizing Works is here! (WOW...that was a shameless promotion)

    Hi Michael,

I do bookeeping and taxes for a couple of restaurants in Bellevue and often go through years of receipts catching folks up for their taxes/businesses and sorting them into the appropriate expense categories. Been doin it off and on for about 13 years...I could definitely help you with this if you're interested, I work quite quickly and generally charge $44/hr for bookeeping services although could probably work something out as it sounds like you have a lot?

    Cheers,
