I like Tweet Deck...breaks everything into different feeds, which makes it easier to read.

Hi Tshombe, I haven't tried Twhirl yet, but am using TweetDeck. As Taylor said, I love how I can break up who I am following into different feeds. And there are some other nice features built in as well. I find myself hardly every visiting Twitter now via my browser!

I would vote TweetDeck, as it currently rolled out some new features such as FaceBook connect that ties it into the larger community exposure.
Either one has some great assets: for me it really depends on workload and scaling the effort around a project.
TweetDeck also earns my vote when dealing with large and active accounts. After 500 followers, most accounts on Twitter become very problematic to sift through the conversation.

I only visit twitter to follow people who've added me!

I have been using Tweetie on my iPhone... still not convinced about this whole Twitter thang...
I wonder if my experience with it would be better with a different tool? TweetDeck?
Thoughts?

Christian,
I think tweet deck makes the experience more organic, plus you don't need to spend a lot of time catching up on the tweets...you can skim them very quickly.

Tweet deck is to twitter what Hershey's chocolate fudge syrup is to ice cream.
It makes it so much more delicious!

Tweetdeck. It allows me to master all of my accounts in one place (yes...I have several that I manage for clients).

Tweetdeck is the winner hands down in my opinion. I believe that platform that they use has more scalable opportunities. One of which I hope will be a filter so that I can filter a few people at certain times.
For example those who use #idol chat or #followfriday ect. Those gum up the feed like nothing else.

Glad I found this thread. I was looking at TweetDeck, TwitterFall and Twitteroo.

There is some great insight on this thread, I like hearing how different people use it.
I use Tweetdeck, I agree with Taylor, it allows you to quickly read through feeds to catch up on tweets.

This is great information. Thank you, Everyone. I downloaded Tweetdeck and need to figure it out so that it works for me.
I ask because Tweetdeck is in beta, and Twhirl seems to have been around a bit.
Is it that most of you have not experienced Twhirl and already love Tweetdeck, so you can't imagine trying anything else? Or, are the features of Twhirl inferior to Tweetdeck?
Thanks for all of your comments. It does sound like Tweetdeck is the way to go, for what it does.

I'm a tweet deck junkie; awesome to have it simple and right at my fingertips. I feel like a pilot everytime I sit down in front of it!

When I had my job I used Twhirl. It had a smaller window and I could peek at tweets easily. On my computer I use Tweetdeck. I have separated TD into columns for some of my interests. I have a column for the movers and shakers, news ppl and just plain fun ppl I want to keep track of. I have a column for writers, publishers etc. I have a column for friends. Then there is a column for me and the retweets, replies or mentions of me. Believe me you want to know what people are talking about or to you. This setup organizes tweetdeck for me and allows me to see interesting conversations going on without a lot of searching. You can't follow everything on Tweeter but you can narrow the field a bit to find what you need and want to read.
