I absolutely agree. Showing that people are planning on being there (and organizers certainly are!) piques the interest of visitors just like high rankings on articles does.

Add organizers as attendees to events...
It would be nice to automatically add the organizer(s) on the list of attendees to their event similar to how Meetup does. It reflects the actual number of people attending and gets some inertia instead of having a "0". If you have two organizers and two attendees the event would currently list only two attendees but there would in fact be 4 people attending.

Great idea! I like it but it looks as if it didn't get much attention. How about "Re-bizniking" it.
