My attendance at BizJam isn't recorded... how come?

I've noticed that the stats on the Welcome page almost never match the stats on my Profile page. There also seem to be periods where the stats don't update for days, or even a week, then suddenly are correct again.

Sometimes the stats appear to update in real time, which makes me suspect that the process which updates them runs right away when you perform an action such as posting a comment, or when someone enters attendance from an event.

It seems that this process hangs fairly frequently.
