Subscribe to About Biznik "New Events"?

Is there any way that each time we log in (either to our welcome page, or to the events page) see what events have been newly posted in the last 24-48 hours? I'm always interested to know, and would love not having to go through 2-3 pages of events to find out!

Thanks,

Valerie

    Hey Valerie,

You can subscribe to the Biznik events RSS feed, which will update you whenever an event is added.

The link to the RSS is on the main Events page, just underneath the search bar (it's the orange icon).

If you don't know much about using RSS, there's a service called Feedblitz that makes it easy(ish) to just get updates sent to your email. Read this for more about getting updates via Feedblitz.

    Hope that helps.

Rachel - You're a rockstar, thanks so much! I'll read up on this all and figure it out today.

    Thanks again,

    Valerie

There are RSS feeds all over the site, but I know folks aren't used to using RSS yet. I hear your request, Valerie, and we've been talking about how we might designate newly added events without unnecessarily cluttering up the page with icons and alerts.

Love the feedback, keep it coming!

Another question. How long does it take from the posting of your attendance of an event until your profile reflects you have attended.

I just attended my first Biznik event so I'm all excited to see the '1' in my profile instead of a '0'

Attendance is recorded by the event host. The ability to record attendance appears as soon as the event has ended. Event hosts are sent a reminder at that time.

If a day has passed, and attendance hasn't been recorded yet, try gently nudging the event host by sending them a messaging reminding them to do so.

Ah. Um. Lara is slightly off her (usual rockin') game here, or she would have said, "try gently nudging the event host by sending them some feedback about the event" ;-)

(Time to send more coffee to Lara.)
