Subscribe to About Biznik Virtual Events - Is it possible?

Is it possible to have virtual events on biznik? If not, could we add this feature? I would really love to offer a free webcast to the community on Data Backup Methodologies. My thread is located here: http://biznik.com/forums/-indie-biz-qa/topics/data-backup-methodolgy-webcasts

I'm in a similar mindset as you, Bill. Although, my biz is completely virtual.

I think this topic was discussed before, but I'll throw in my two cents anyway.

I know Biznik is very much a face-to-face community, but in my business, my face IS virtual. I have never met any of my clients, and I might never meet them. But I still want to be a trusted member of a community of awesome professionals. It would be great to be able to interact with members in other ways...especially since location is not an issue for me.

    Just my thoughts!

Yeah, I agree with the face to face concept that biznik is all about. I also know that virtual has its time and place as well. One of the great things about 2.0 is you can network both face to face and virtually.

My particular event is virtual in nature and is actually better virtual because people are in front of their computer learning about their computer hands on.

I will offer the webcast either way, I just want to be able to offer it through the event system to get more coverage for the event. It is much better easier to get butts in seats when you advertise it properly.

By the way, my business is entirely virtual as well. I run an Internet Backup company. Most of my clients have never met me and aren't even in the same state. In some cases they aren't even on the same coast.

Ah, cool...I did not know you are completely virtual! Well then, I know exactly where you're coming from!

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
