In the last 6 months it seems that the number of coaches in the Seattle area (at least the ones with Biznik profiles) has jumped from 2-3 to 15!

After looking around at many of the other coaches profiles, I realized that most of us have a strong niche and rather than seeing each other as competitors, we could see ourselves as strategic partners.

After all, the more people who understand what coaching is, the more potential clients are out there for all of us.

If you are a coach of any sort, would you be interested in a local event just for us?

If so, would you prefer a weekday evening, or a Saturday brunch? Eastside? Or central Seattle?

If you'd rather not be in a room with a bunch of other coaches, why not? Let's get some discussion here.

    Group, It is exciting to see so much interest in gathering coaches for intentional conversation and networking. A couple of things to share.

    1) The Puget Sound Coaches Association has excellent monthly meetings from September thru June. We have networking, skill building and an opportunity to unite as coaches, lift and build up our profession. Our curriculum has been fantastic and the outline we have for next year is nearly complete. I would invite each of you to join us in September. We have made great changes and are looking to broaden our community. We meet at REI - check us out at www.pugetsoundcoaches.org

    2) The PSCA is currently building a Coaches Conference slated for February, 2009. We are cooinciding with National Coaches Week and will have several community events planned that week. We will be inviting nationally recognized keynotes and trainers to proved a action packed 1 day event for NW Coaches. Coaches from Arizona to Alaska will be invited. Check the PSCA website frequently to find out what's going on!!

    3) I have created a networking group on Linkedin for NW Coaches. This is one area that we can share ideas, build community groups and invite all to participate. Please go to www.linkedin.com, find my profile Tammy Redmon and select the group NW Professional Coaches, join in!

    Rebecca, I'd like to know when the next (after July 10) event will be. I'm a money coach and would love to meet the other coaches in Biznik, especially now that I'm jazzed from BizJam.

    Hi everyone,

    It looks like many of us would love to gather and see tremendous benefit. We also appear to have varying schedules. I would love to attend a weekday coach gathering, and would be willing to host or cohost it at a local (maybe Mosiac) facility if there is enough interest. Let me know.

    Hi It is Sept. Did the coaches meeting ever start? I am a psychotherapist and a coach. I coach families and am a coach for a weight issues program. I would like to hear if it is happening and how it is going. Perry

    Perry, we met in August. Hope to meet in September. I'm wondering if there's enough support to start a coaches group on the North shore of Lake Washington -- Kenmore, Bothell area. . .
