Hi Allan, I think this sounds like a great idea for a regular gathering, I'd certainly be interested in participating. Do you have any ideas about where, when, what time of day, type of venue? I'm happy to help you brainstorm if you want. In any case, drop me a note if you end up setting something up and I'll rsvp for it. thanks! -heather
Southern California Bizniks
I would like to start a gathering of people interested in business strategy and tactics for Southern California. The focus would be, naturally, on strategy. We would discuss marketing, sales, competitive strategies, and business planning. I have found that small business can learn a lot from others in different industries and think we could all excel when we put our heads together. It would be an opportunity to network, share problems, and present solutions. We could meet somewhere in Orange County or Los Angeles depending on how many people are interested. We could even have two groups. If you're interested, shoot me an email at aelder@nolimitsleadership.com or leave a replay here.

Hello Heather, I haven't fixed a location or time yet as I was hoping to find at least three people that wanted to meet first and then we could decide together. I live near the 405 and 605, you?

i'm right outside downtown LA, so i have freeways & trains galore to choose from, as well as some really cool localities. if more people don't contact you in the next week, maybe come up to the biznik mixer in marina del rey and get some people to sign on in person.

I would be interested too. I'm in the IE (Corona) but am willing to travel. I could certainly use more local business.

This is getting more promising. Terra, you left me a little confused. If I recall, you're up north a lot so I think you mean if you're in LA at the time, yes? Well, three is enough for me. When are you in town again Terra?

Hi Allan,
I should be there in mid May. I have a three week contract. I am not sure of the exact date. I will let you know, I am sure we can get many more people before then. I know a couple of others I can for sure invite.
Kind regards, Terra

Sounds great Terra. Let me know when you're in town. Mid May gives us a chance to secure a location. Would others like a place closer to downtown, Pasadena, or Long Beach?

You should also get in touch with what I fondly call "the Colleens" - Colleen Rice and Colleen Wainwright - who are both cultivating Los Angeles-area Biznik communities.
This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
