Kevin... Thanks for the "heads-up". Many a time I've had a meeting at a Starbucks and waited till later to check my email at another Free location. This is useful to know. ...Howard
Free-ish WiFi now at Starbucks
Seems appropriate to mention here you can get your internet fix for free-ish at most Starbucks now when you have a Starbucks card (the prepaid kind, you don't need to get the credit card).
The fine print is you get 2 hours each day within 30 days of use of your card, at Starbucks stores which have the AT&T service. Obviously its great to support the local guys, but if you find yourself in a part of town you don't know, its nice to know your free WiFi fix isn't far away.

Thanks, Kevin. We've been waiting. Seems like they've been talking about it for a long time.

Interesting info Kevin. How do you know which S-bucks has AT&T? Art T.

Good question, the local ones I've been to have it, but admittedly its not that many I've checked. I guess you just have to pony up $4 for a mocha and find out =).

I hear you, Art. Too bad they don't have a list. We have a lot of clients in south King County, and I know none of the ones we've visited so far are connected yet.

Be sure you're checking for the ATTWiFi wireless network, not the tmobile one. Of course the south end may not be upgraded yet - I've only been around Seattle/Eastside of late.
