Thanks, Valerie (and Elizabeth for your sweet private message).

Well, yes. My daughter Kellye is cooking dinner for me at her place tonight. And if you knew Kellye, you'd know just what a miraculous thing that is.

She's into that cooking channel (Food Network?) now and has a repertoire of 30+ gourmet entrees. It's one of those "Where is Kellye and what have you done with her?" type moments.

Happy, happy birthday Judy!! Hope it was a day of fun and surprises. When I see you next I will "sing" the happy birthday song to you in American Sign Language. You wouldn't want to hear me sing the song...I only sing in front of deaf people for a reason! ;0)

Thanks, Andrey and Nancy. Had a fun birthday, complete with pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke with gorgonzola cheese and a made-from-scratch chocolate cake created by my daughter, who used to only know how to put Pop Tarts in the toaster and boil water for Kraft Mac and Cheese dinners. An amazing transformation.
