Subscribe to Coffee Break Holiday Profile Pics

We should have a costume contest for the best (and most relevant) Holiday pics. It seems a few of the regulars have caught on to it.

Howard. I agree! I went with a more traditional Charlie Brown Thanksgiving themed approach for my display icon simply because your icon is just so terrific. Just wait until Hanukkah however.

    Happy Holiday.

Today was the only Turkey profile picture that I'll do. [There is only so many times you can use a Thanksgiving theme ;] ]

    Good luck with the contest!

I can't wait for Hanukkah as well, have some ideas there. I kept it simple for turkey day.

BTW, Andrey, its TURKEY day, not PENGUIN.

I hate Turkeys. Thursday is the best day ever!

What bird do you think is behind me? ;]

It looks like a penguin. You are a linux guy aren't you Andrey?

  • Andrey Rozmaity

I'm not a Linux guy [used it, webserver is on it...] but Linux is cool...

The penguin is at the bottom left corner... and the turkey is behind us! =]

Turkey? I thought that was a buzzard behind you...

    Thanks for your participation.

Elizabeth has organized her leaves. Andrey has a monster turkey stalking him. Kevin sells real small phones. Barry has a Homer Simpson complex. William has one ugly Turkey, but it's "back is up". Scott must be a Turkey. Howard's Turkey, of course, rents money.

The challenge was "relevant". I should have added along the Biznik theme of "shameless self-promotion". Good luck to all and any others that join in on this Holiday silly-ness. I will announce a winner (and my decision is final) the day after. ......Howard

Hrm, Howard thats one ugly bird :)

I vote for my turkey... Could have done a better job in Photoshop, but Im feeling lazy so I "borrowed" it off of google :)

Andrey is clutching the penguin but if in fact you enlarge the photo it does appear that there are turkey feathers behind him. Where in the worls was this photo taken Andrey?

And...who is dressing up as the pumpkin pie?

  • Barry Hurd
Posted by Barry Hurd, Seattle, Washington | Nov 22, 2007

Homer is shameless self-promotion, I trademarked "D'oH!" way before he did.

He even stole his turkey day beer belly from me.

    boing boing

    Hoo hoo hoo hoooo!

    Tigger here to represent.

LOL, I didn't enlarge the photo. The profile picture is 160 x 160 pixels, and the background photo was over 1000 x 1000 pixels. The turkey is only a 160 x 160 pixel crop. =]

I got your pumpkin pie today!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Aww! Thanks Howard!

Oh, and I like the Santa Howard picture best!

OK ... Thanksgiving is over now... We have many other Holidays coming up. My challenge to you is to post your Profile Pic to include these 3 elements:

    • Your Real Face (we still need to instill trust)
    • Your current Holiday theme
    • Your radical self-promotion element

Notice that my example represents my business of "Renting Money to Biz Owners". I'm so easy to work with that I sometime feel like Santa all year long.

Who's up to my challenge? Post it here!

Looking good Howard, much better than the turkey and the santa hat was a good touch.

So who won the Thanksgiving contest?

  • Howard Howell
Posted by Howard Howell, Seattle, Washington | Nov 24, 2007

Alex: I awarded a prize to all for participating, although you need to attend one of my GEM events to claim it. Everyone did a great job. I really like your new pic in the monitor with the tree in the background. Very good including all 3 elements.

Elizabeth: Great organization of the Festive PEZ dispensers. Is that you in row 3, position 1?

Thanks for the encouragement to do a, b and c. I did ALL THREE!

Check promotions forum for my 20% off special!

    Cheers, Amy

Good eye Howard. It took a lot of organizing to get all of the Pez dispensers to cooperate but Seattle Organizing Works can handle any organizing challenge.

Thank you Scott. A good quality display by a pro web designer. Do the symbols behind you have some meaning? .... HH
