Unfortunately, I didn't connect with any biznikers at the conference in Boston - but what an incredible experience. Over 4000 designers ended up attending the four-day event. Over 300 design professionals came to my session - and my hand actually is still throbbing from signing autographs and so many copies of my book. Just connecting with so many designers in person is the biggest "take away" from this conference. Hopefully I will see some biznik members at the 2009 conference in Austin, Texas.
HOW Design Conference, Boston - May 18-21?
With over 3000 design professionals in attendance, I would assume some biznikers may be at the annual HOW Design Conference in Boston. Please track me down and say "hi!"
I will once again be speaking at the conference. My session, "Planning, Packaging & Promoting Yourself as the Product," on Tuesday afternoon, will take a look at the challenges faced by graphic designers in marketing their own services.
I will be signing copies of "Identity Crisis: 50 Redesigns That Transformed Stale Identities into Successful Brands" Tuesday, May 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the HOW Conference Book Store.
Hope to see you there! - J.
