Books: 1.) Something about how to survive on a deserted island (that's for the practical side of me...) 2.) Journal notebook 3.) The Secret Garden - I probably won't be in a very studious mindset, so something easy, entertaining...

Movies: Pandora's Clock (It's lengthy for more value, and also would help me feel better about my circumstances...Plus,... well... RDA could be pretty good company!; Sound of Music - also long, so more value, and inspirational; Either Pretty Woman or The American President

People: Hmm...A person who has the skill to live on a deserted island (probably not Gilligan...); The Professor and Maryann (Just kidding, but it sort of fits the theme, don't you think?)

Foods: Ice cream (tastes good and can cool me off if it's hot; Pizza - good cold and as leftovers..nice comfort food, too; Cocoa - to warm me up after ice cream if it's cold out, plus it's a great comfort food and helps me think.

Books T.R.Reid’s The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care

David Neiwert’s The Eliminationists: How Hate Talk Radicalized the American Right

The University of Chicago Press’ Chicago Manual of Style

Movies The Gods Must Be Crazy

    The Ginger Tree

    Adventures in Babysitting

Food Bacon (the food of the gods)

    Potato Chips

    Ice Cream

    People Doris Kearns Goodwin (history)

    Rachel Maddow (politics)

    Neil deGrasse Tyson (science)

As I was looking up links, I realized that all three are PhDs — and Dr. Maddow is a Rhodes Scholar. I think I need a carney man. If it pleases the court, I’ll trade the Chicago Manual of Style for Vinnie DiMartino, formerly of American Chopper.

Hmmm... this reminds me of an episode from the office.
