I live here in Venice Beach, glad to hear you enjoyed your stay :)
My Trip to Venice Beach (Los Angeles)
I flew out of town for a few days to catch sunshine and a little bit of R&R. We went from 21 degrees cold to 86 degrees warm in just a few hours. Destination Los Angeles - Venice Beach to be exact.… I decided to take a walk along the beach was just kicking sand, strolling slightly faster than a turtle when I noticed a point not too far past the Oceanside apartments there was a little community of wannabe entrepreneurs. An equal mix of gadgets, gifts, curb side entertainment and freaks…and for the next few hours they had all my attention, we laughed away most of day even though I wasn’t sure if laughter was really appropriate considering many of these folks were doing whatever they needed to do to get to that that dollar in your pocket. Some worked hard for that dollar, while others had no problem just asking you for it.
But a more interesting moment of the day came as we started to make our way back to this outdoor café we were stopped by a lady that was shooting pictures, but only pictures of shadows. She missed a great shot of us (or of our shadows against a wall) and wanted us to repeat some steps for a chance to catch the shadows, so we did. I though that was a great idea and decided to do some clicking of my own as I love playing with graphics – and then to see how creative I can get with these shadows…I’d like to show you what I did and how we got to the end result…it was a great experience and again, my learning gears were full throttle…here is a link to the graphic created using my own shadow.

As soon as I figure out how to upload images here I can add the rest that will demonstrate the easy steps to powerful graphics.

I'll be back - that's for sure!
It was a great time - but the 1.5 hour trip back to pasadena makes me appreciate my little town in Wisconsin :)
By the way, the outdoor cafe was "The Terrace Cafe" very good food and service..

Nice. I took some pictures while we were in the Methow getting fire wood and going to fireworks in Winthrop this past weekend. They are on my blog if you want to take a look, via my profile or... follow this link.
