Subscribe to Coffee Break Your fave funniest movies?

Hey folks, I am trying to find bunches of hysterically funny movies to cheer up a friend. I know what my faves are, but wondering if anyone had some they'd like to recommend?

For the record, Ace Ventura, Pet Detective, is one of my all time faves.

Thanks in advance for helping me build a great list! Happy New Year, -g

    G. To ring in the New Year I first went to see Yes, Man. and later that night went to a laughing meditation. That was one of the most difficult things I have ever done. And a New Years Day I'll never forget. Try laughing for one half hour straight without stopping...you can imagine. Yes, we tickled each other and made funny faces, had pillow fights...still 30 minutes..Yikes.

Hey folks, thanks for keeping this going. I can't wait to send my buddy a box with happy stuff. My plan is to send him a box of funnies every month or so, so he remembers to take time out for himself, laugh, and also remembers that someone out there is looking out for him. Yay! Thanks guys!

"The Ref" is my all-time favorite. I laugh on the very first line of dialogue. It's especially good for anyone who has to deal with a dysfunctional family at Christmas.

    Others:

    A Knight's Tale

    Galaxy Quest

    When Harry Met Sally

If he's a guy, I'd recommend any Adam Sandler movie. I also enjoy Princess Bride, Knight's Tale, early Robin Williams (Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, etc.), and if you go to YouTube and type in a search for "Bumbershoot" plus "ice fishing" plus "yodeling", you'll find my Bumbershoot performance on ... well, yeah, Ice Fishing, yodeling, and the super-secret, sonic-harmonic, ice fishing fish locator (especially good if he's from da Midwest, doncha know!)

all of the above (and another shoutout for Monty Python, especially the Holy Grail :"Oh, Its only a flesh wound!" is a favorite line of mine when I am in BIG trouble)

Oldies but goodies; the entire Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies. One can buy the whole set now, starting with A shot in the Dark ,with my name sake, Elke Sommers, and on and on for six or seven more...they keep getting funnier.

hmmm... Think I'll pop one into the dvd tonight.

Peter Sellers was also terrific in Being There, his last movie.

    cheers, Elke
