I think this is a great idea. Let me know how I can help.

Despite what is going on around us......We all know it isn't as bad as the media says it is. I would love to start a forum on Biznik where we can share all the great things that are happening for fellow bizniks alike. From exciting new loan programs, rates, etc, to sales, open houses etc, lets share, compare and dare to change this market that so many believe is doomed!
I think this is a great idea. Let me know how I can help.
Tracie
Thank you Tracie for your response. I think it is a great idea too. I wish more people would help get this going. Maybe you and I can start posting more thoughts and ideas and invite other realtors, lenders ect to do the same?
Hi Tonya, reading your intro thread, I'm trying to decide if you are a)trying to help other Bizniks in the real estate industry by boosting morale, offering resources, alternative views, etc. or trying to give Bizniks in the real estate some good news. If the latter, I think that would be best posted in the promotions or cafe forum, as they are not directly about building one's business. If the former, my suggestions would be to: 1. Connect with at least 1 other person (looks like you have it with Tracie), but go ahead and try 1-2 more, and decide to really start collecting and posting info. 2. Start a new thread with a more positive, value-giving title. Maybe something like "Good News for Real Estate Agents". Then actually start by having an example of that good news. 3. Think of news that Bizniks in your related industry would want to hear, and each time you find a goodie, go ahead and post it in the thread.
Cheers, Leif
Hi Tonya, I am back from vacation and await one of your great lunches. I think we can do a lot to support each other and an ongoing dialogue of feedback, peer coaching and resources for all those in Real Estate and adjunct businesses gives us, at least, the sense we are not alone. Rather than no news is good news, let's get what is good out there! I try not to pay too much attention to 'gloom and doomers'.... maybe we should call it the "Upbeat" So some good news to start, I have a job I love and absolutely believe that by my recent stats, that things are picking up and that we are going to have a great year.
I agree, I am pretty busy right now. I would love to invite Lisa to post some stuff about the lending changes etc.... I have a friend who is closing deals left and right and I have a listing that is getting a lot of attention with some real interested buyers. They are out there!!!
Tonya: I'm happy to help. Business is good if you decide it is and take the necessary steps.

Paul....I think it would be great to share what is going on :)
Hi Tonya, Any thoughts re: my post above? Just wanted to make sure you got it. In short, start sharing that good news and possibly rename the thread in the appropriate forum. Cheers, Leif
I like what you had to say for sure....how the heck do I rename the thread in the appropriate forum....you are talking to the same girl who couldn't figure out how to put on the dang clown nose! :) I will see what I can do! Thank you again for your help!!
I could rename or move the thread, but what I was meaning was (once you decide more specifically WHO the 'good news' is primarily for --those in the biz, or buyers/sellers) to start a new thread with a new name in an appropriate thread.
Hello thread members! I would like to share a little good news from the lending world. Interest rates are phenomenal right now! I am happy to see that between the drop in home prices along with interest rates, our housing costs are definitely more in line with the average income for our area.
Over the past few years this has been of great concern to me. I know this has been a painful lesson for a lot of us, but the dream of home ownership, the first step in personal wealth, was getting further and further away, because the payments for a new home were just not affordable.
I am submitting an article on Biz-nik that I think will be beneficial for everyone. The title is: 10 Survival Tips for Today's Financial Atmosphere. It is sure to help get a better understanding of where you are. I hope it helps!
HI I have taken the Washington State Finance Commissions class (House Key) for first time home buyers and looking for a lender to work with to give classes. I am a JLS agent working Snohomish and the east side.
This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
