Hey Biznik Folks,
I need to update my knowledge base and was wondering, what are everyone's favorite business books? Here are a couple of my favorites:
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (for motivational purposes)
The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber (for thinking in terms of systematic processes)
The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Nicholas Taleb (for the sheer genius of Mr. Taleb)

Hi Keyon,
Some of my favorites:
Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die by Chip and Dan Heath
The Sales Bible by Jeffrey Gitomer (any of his books offer solid advice in an easy-to-read format)
Dig Your Well Before Your Thirsty by Harvey Mackay
Thanks for this conversation, it will definitely help me expand my knowledge base as well!
Best, Lindsay
hi Keyon, I have been in the biz world for years, but still consider myself a student of learning. In my field of sales and social media, I've read hundreds of books (and still own way too many of them).
I am wondering what type of business book you are looking for? It is such a broad topic.
Two favorites if you are looking for anything relating to SALES would be Biznik member Jill Konrath's bestseller "Selling to Big Companies" (see her profile for link to her site)
Also, "50 Ways in 50 Days to Score More Sales" is an easy read with actionable ideas plus 50 inspirational thoughts throughout, available at my site, www.scoremoresales.com
I am going to make a "top ten best business books" now that you brought it up - and will post once I've determined what they are for me. Thanks for the topic! -- Lori
Lisa: I read Seth's blog occasionally but have not checked out his books. I'll definitely do so.
Lindsay: I own both Made to Stick and The Sales Bible. Both are FANTASTIC.
Lori: "I am wondering what type of business book you are looking for? It is such a broad topic."
I'm not looking for anything in particular. My main focus is on marketing but I'm a student of business/economics as a whole and would love to diversify my knowledge as much as possible.
Hi Keyon,
I just finished reading "Tribes" by Seth Godin and found it to be excellent.
Anything by Seth Godin is excellent. Visit his blog at www.sethgodin.com to sample his insights.
He's among the most popular bloggers on the Internet today and someone to watch and listen to.
By the way, I grew up around Tarzana, CA. Small world that you live there now.
Nancy
Some great titles there. Add maybe "Who moved the cheese" and anything by Larry Burkett. We have read and discussed Emyth and Think and Grow Rich as part of Networking groups. Great for discussion. Can hardly wait for Lori's "Top TEN." We hope to do a lot of Top ten lists on our blog too.
I like "How To Attract The Perfect Client" and "Who Moved My Cheese" as well as "The One Minute Millionaire" which is in part what my local meetup group is based on (as well as principals from "The Secret" and "Think and Grow Rich")
This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
