Hi Colleen, I imagine the results of this survey will be very interesting and perhaps could have been enlightening about the Virtual Assistant industry in general.
I attempted to fill out the survey early in August. However, because I did not agree with this organization's narrow definition of Virtual Assistant, I was not allowed to complete the survey.
I understand that there is a desire to get at least 500 to complete the survey. I'm wondering if the extended deadline is because so many "Virtual Assistants" have been excluded from the survey.
As a researcher in my former life, I sincerely hope that the methodology used in this survey is clearly outlined in the reporting of the results.
For anyone who is interested in reading more about how this survey has been interpreted by others in the industry, see: http://tinyurl.com/6m7cbk for an interesting blog post by a very well known Virtual Assistant as well as the many comments that followed by other Virtual Assistants.
