Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Can BizJam be more fruitful?

As an invited presenter for a BizJam workshop, I want to make your experience worthwhile, productive, and fruitful.

The original supposition of my workshop is to answer this question; How come so many indies deliver services so brilliantly but have trouble communicating what they do?

Do you have any questions or suggestions that would enhance your BizJam experience that I may include in my presentation?

    Howard,

Boy, what a question. The soloprenuers we talk to are so passionate about what they do. And so good at what they do.

But I think sometimes it's that talking about themselves is so hard. If they took the approach that it's not all about them, but about solving other people's problems with their products and services, the communication would seem less like bragging and more like, "I can help you with this problem."

I think what you will offer at BizJam is so needed. The concept that we are in business to help other people solve their problems. That takes the attention off us and makes our conversations with customers all about what we can do to address their pain.

Thanks for being open to our suggestions and needs as solopreneurs, Howard.

Hi Howard, Having gone to umpteen jillion biz conferences, I would love to see some personal development courses thrown in; sometimes they are the glue which embraces the whole theme of consciousness expanding in all directions. ..so, I wasn't just reponding to the question outlined in black! Andrew
