Seattle needs more options for independent business people. I'm starting a new group, called Office Nomads, with the mission of building a collaborative office space, or spaces where we can work together, but maintain our individuality. Independence shouldn't mean isolation, and coffee shops don't really cut it. If you are getting excited, please drop me a line and visit our website:

We don't have a space yet, people come first. I'm working to get the word out, and let people know this is happening. I need help. Small contributions can have huge impacts. If you would like to lend a hand at bringing this together, or just share your ideas, I'll buy the coffee.

I totally agree Jacob. There is a real shortage of this kind of space. I am interested in apartment based co-housing space in a kind of mixed commercial/residential space to possibly fill this kind of need plus a filling a need to have a more functional shared communal space for many kinds of social events.

Jacob, I love this idea, and think I could benefit from this. Come to Biznik's shindig at Liberty next Tuesday night, would love to chat more with you and see what your plans are. Happy Friday,

Hey Jacob, the building that other Bizniks Beve Kindblade, Jason Ruhmor, Bryce Mathern, and I practice in downtown has lots of small office spaces available, as well as some larger spaces that could be shared. We're all healthcare providers who've found a way to network, host a monthly social hour, and help each other out with various resources when needed. It's definitely not live-in space. The management company is great, rents are reasonable, and the lobby is gorgeous. There's even parking in the building.

It may be worth looking into our little community here, as we've already got some momentum going. I keep thinking it's a great site for other Biznikers with creative energy.

Let me know if you have any interest and I'll send you the contact info.

    cheers, Dr. Hannah
