I have been attending a few Events and doing a couple of my own. I was just checking a few Events, then began to look at my profile and the Promotion I'm running.

It's very straight forward: For every referral you send us that turns into a sale, we pay you $25. If you find us 6 referrals that turn into sales, you can turn around and purchase a Brake Director. We'd cover the Sales Tax (new).

So far no bites. I wonder if it's the product or the people reading it, what their own interests are. I know there are bicyclists here at Biznik. We are planning a Bike and Network event. I have even been introduced to a member who runs a Cycling School.

We have not been sitting idly by. We just finished an interview for the Florida Police Journel which also allowed us to contact and use the Seattle Bicycle Police for action photos. We will also have a presence at the National Ability Center Day July 19th. Look for my business partner - David Hawkins riding the STP (Seattle to Portland sponsored every year by the Cascade Bicycle Club, the largest bicycle Club in the US).

So would cyclists be interested in a bike and network event? Are there members who know of someone that could benefit from a Brake Director on their bicycle? I want to point out that our product was originally designed for the Rider with Upper Body Limitations, but we discovered that families and children especially benefit by having the ability to stop where they chose and not beyond the sidewalk and into a street where .... you get the point.

Anyway this has been one of our ongoing needs - to have some success in the Seattle market. Any help, introductions and especially referrals will be most welcomed.

I think a biznik chat and cycle event would be neat! I need and want to get back on my bike. Just need to take the time to give it a tune up. An event might steer me towards that sooner rather than later!

so we could meet up, ride to some cafe somewhere, and ride back after - or something like that.

I am also interested in a bike and network event. I know someone did one on a Sunday, but perhaps an evening event from Gas Works might be nice while the nights are long.

As far as promotions go; I don't read too many. I'm more interested in the learn section and going to events. However, promoting your promotion is good to do at events.

    Cheers!

I understand your frustration regarding the referral process. I have electric eco bikes listed as a promotion ($600 value) and no bites. I wonder if there is a different way to create a buzz about the promotions. I think your idea of a bike event is a brilliant way to spread the word about your promotion, and business maybe even get some small bike "giveaway" with your promotion and contact info on it to give to people you meet. I need to do something different too but it is always easier to solve someone elses dilemma.
    Cheers to you. Caroline

    Amy, Helen and Caroline,

I deeply appreciate your comments. Sometimes I just think outside the box. Yes, there was a ride a couple of months ago starting and ending at the Red Hook Ale.

As to our ride, David Hawkins and I will look over the time and date and see what we can do. Maybe do more than one. I'll let you know.

Caroline- I had no idea your promo even existed.

Maybe we all just need to scan the promo section more often to support each other?

Maybe we can have a feature promotion section the way we have the most recently updated needs section on the homepage is it?
