FTP is probably the best solution for this. You don't have to give them full access to all of your files and you can restrict their priviledge to "read only" so that all they can can is download. I have several clients that maintain a special FTP account that they allow selected clients to use. They restrict that account to a single directory, where they put materials, like price lists, or other confidential info that they allow the customer to have access to. Your hosting company should be able to help you with this if you can't figure it out on your own.
Data Feed???
Ive been asked this several times and yet again today so I figure I had better find out what/how to do this!
I have a few good people who I dropship for (which means they sell our products on their website and I ship it out).
They want an easy way to download our products via either date feed (no clue what that is) or ftp (do I really want to give someone access to my cpanel/ftp???)
Also instead of right-clicking a picture then saving it to their own computer to upload on their website is there an easier way other than sending them an entire photo file (which would take forever to send)?
Anyone have any 'how to's'?

What you're trying to do can be accomplished by an authenticated RSS (really simple syndication) feed. You can incorporate photos and inventory with such a feed, which can in turn be used by vendors.
Here's a good starting place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)
