Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Do you have a support structure?

When you are happy, who do you share your vibrant energy with?

When you are excited about a new idea, who do you brainstorm with?

When you are down, who is there for you?

We all need support structures; family, friends, partners, or groups.

Support structure is one of the factors in the book “The 12 factors of Business Success” by Hogan, Lakhani and Marti. It says – “a high level of achievement requires that you put significant support structures in place.”

Share with us – what support structures you have been counting on?

Maybe I shall start with the question -

Do you see biznik as one of your support structures?

I posted this comment on another article, but would like to share with you. A friend said to get my dunn and bradstreet number, register on ccr.gov to get a NAICS #, then I went to my SBA and the P-TAC and within less than a week I received the oppty to bid on a large govt move job. They are awarding bids to small business and women only. I see you are a coach, encourage clients to possibly think of new adventures. www.atimeandplaceforeverything.org

I have a strong network and support system in many activities I am involved with. This includes biznik and several other organizations that I have had membership in for years. Not only is new business, new people, it is consistency. This is a good topic.

Yes, Biznik has become a great support system. It's amazing the relationships I have built with so many people here, that never happened in other business organizations that I have belonged to. As I've said before, the combination of building those relationships, both online and offline has been invaluable.

And of course, Judy, my life partner and biz partner, is a huge support for me. She keeps me out of trouble and on track. I guess we have this unique relationship where we live, work and play together (although we could use more play), without driving each other crazy.

    Thanks for starting this conversation.

My support structure consists of friends, family, industry people and my customers. As small business people we shouldn't forget about how our customers are their to support us. Your customers will always tell you when your making mistakes and what they want you to do to improve. Art T.

For Business I have great colleagues and coaches. And I love the Mastermind Process. It is a fluid give and receive community of professionals who are seeking ways to have greater impact in business.

    Great question!
