Excellent new Biznik Event venue for South-soundersMy favorite cafe in Tacoma, The Mandolin Cafe, has just gone through some major reconstruction and will now have a private room (starting 6/22/09) that can fit 35 people.
If you don't know the Mandolin, you've been missing out -full of art, live music almost every night, excellent drinks and food (and now more with their new kitchen), and an overall warm, creative atmosphere.
Oh, and the cost is ridiculously fair, $10 an hour or free if you also order meals. Just call (253-761-3482) to reserve your spot.

I love the Mandolin!! It is a great local. Parking can be a sticky wicket and if you want to host there, I would advise going in advance to work out your parking plan for your guests. Make it easy breezy for them and you.
Oh and I highly recommend their great selection of Green Teas!! They have this coconut one that is out of this world!
Hi Bob, From what I saw late last week, I think it would totally accommodate a projector/screen. Let me know how it goes.
Good point on parking tammy, though since its in a neighborhood, you can at least find something a block away at worst.
