Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Gifts for Clients?

Some businesses choose to send holidays gifts for their biggest clients (and referrers). I have been pondering some creative yet fairly inexpensive gifts that say "Thank you for your business and happy holidays" in a fun way.

What have you received as a client that stood out for you?

Any fun ideas to share?

    Banu,

    Here are a few ideas:

    • Consumables (won't add clutter)
    • A product related to your business and the reason clients come to you.
    • A gift card for your services.
    • A "thing" that is helpful and that just speaks your brand. The recipient can't help but think of you when they use it, whether or not it has your logo or branding on the item.
    • A donation in your client's name to an organization that is meaningful to them (this was one of the best gifts we gave last year!)

I've written an article on giving gifts that don't cause clutter (related to my business as a Professional Organizer). If you'd like a copy, email me and I'll be happy to send it to you.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Debbie

    Banu-

I use a company called Wine Country Gift Baskets and I like them as they are very nice, affordable and I can pick from a variety of baskets. So if a client likes chocolate, I select a chocolate basket, wine, spa, candy, etc.

Like Debbie said, as organizers we prefer something you can consume, or enjoy, and not something you have to feel guilty about or hide in a closet.

Hope that helps. Happy Thanksgiving from Canada!

Christa and Debbie, thanks for the tips. My favorite consumable is chocolate! :)

You could make hot cocoa mixes in jars from hot cocoa powder, marshymallow and chocolate chips in 3 layers, wrap the jar lid in fabric or paper and fix on with recycled ribbon or twine.

I have oodles of jars I save from products I buy. This is the perfect gift to use those.

And, you can buy organic chips and cocoa powder. For those that are dairy sensitive, you could include just the sweetened cocoa powder where they add milk.

How about those plantable seed cards?

How about recycled jars full of organic nut or trail mix? Or organic candies?

    Have fun with this!

    Cheers,

Amy that sounds great. I am trying to make =bake most of my Christmas gifts. So how much cocoa powder. One jar would make how much hot chocolate? Great idea on the organic part too! Thanks Wendy
