Green Drinks
For anybody into environmental issues, eco-business or other ways of thinking green, there's a very cool group that meets once a month in Seattle -- Green Drinks. I went to my first meeting last month, and there were about 500 people, so it's a great chance to network. (It may have been bigger than normal last month because it was at the Seattle Aquarium, and they were giving away copies of the 2007 Chinook Book.)
I've spoken with a few Biznikers who have been to Green Drinks; it would be fun to see a bunch of you there!
The next meeting is this Tuesday night, Oct. 10. Details below.
It's held at different businesses/non-profits around the region each month, and it's so popular that there's a waiting list of a year or so for hosting these events.
There's also an Eastside Green Drinks group that meets once a month. Check the web site at http://www.greendrinks.org
Below is the Seattle write-up:
All are welcome! Join us the second Tuesday of every month, starting around 5:30pm. OCTOBER'S GREENDRINKS WILL BE HOSTED ON TUESDAY, 10 OCTOBER 2006, BY THE SUSTAINABLE STYLE FOUNDATION (http://www.sustainablestyle.org/). SSF WILL BE HOSTING IN THE STUDIOS AT 5113 RUSSELL AVE NW, 98107, in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. For logistical questions, please contact Sustainable Style Foundation at 206.324.4850. Returning to our normal start time, the October Greendrinks will begin between 5:30 and 6pm. Visiting Greendrinkers are always welcome.
