Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Have you upgraded your Biznik account?

Aside of a logo and seeing who visits your profile, have you found great value in your purchase of an Active Membership?

    Hi, Jonathan,

Have you checked out the page describing the different benefits at different membership levels? It's here. There are a few fun benefits, like the monthly Supporting Member VIP Happy Hour at Twist.

But the most important benefit to me is the increased google visibility. Do a Google search for "Valerie Farris." My Biznik profile is the first hit! My firm profile is all the way down at fourth.

It's WELL worth $24/month, in my opinion.

    Best,

    Valerie

What Valerie is referring to is a Supporting Membership, and all that she said was what I planned on replying with. She really should do my job and I can do hers!!! (Is that legal?)

I don't know if I've found great value yet, but It did bump up the search ranks for a couple of the web sites I listed. My main page was already at the top for searching on my name.

Aside from my new role with Biznik, I can easily say that a paid membership has led to increased visibility on Biznik & search in general --which has led to more calls and business.

In addition, I've made money from events (though, because of distance fr. Seattle and other priorities, haven't taken advantage of this), enjoyed and received good feedback from my different video profiles, and know that many of my site visits have come from the enhanced signature at the end of each message.

Lastly, since I believe in Biznik's manifesto and love this place, it also feels great knowing I'm supporting a rapidly growing, cutting-edge community like Biznik.

    Cheers! -Leif

Actually, when I first upgraded to active member, it was the enhanced profile features. Namely, listing websites, IMs, and the blog posts at the bottom.

Upgrading to gold was realizing that having those stars actually increases visibility, and that I am actually getting real value, so why not give some back and get more while at it.

But stars or no stars, it's the events that are the real deal. At least in my relatively newbie's perspective.

Well Elyon, without your upgraded membership, it would not have occurred to me to check out Eco-Libris. =)

Glad to see you guys confirming that the increased visibility works. Did you know that our reports show that on average Active ($10) Members receive 8 times more traffic from Biznik to their own web sites than Basic (free) Members; and Supporting ($24) Members receive 26 times more traffic to their own web sites than Basic Members.

That's just increased visibility on Biznik. Supporting Members also report huge increases in visibility on Google. Paul Anderson announced at the Biznik Event he was teaching last night, that since upgrading to Supporting Membership, his name now appears on page 4 of Google. This is huge for him because the name "Anderson" is something like the 4th most popular name in the US, and previously the search for "Paul Anderson" put him somewhere near page 16. He also said that searches for other keywords relevant to his services put him on page 1 of Google.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
