Excellent! Colleen has blogged about me several times - so, I guess I'm one of those Internet "friends." I'm really looking forward to spending the rest of this week with her at the Creative Freelancer Conference in Chicago!

Funny! She had me at the boyfriend with the ukelele and THEN there was a Deaf woman signing and THEN she ended with "give an old broad a job". How can you not LUV that!??? Good luck, Colleen!

ok - Max and I voted, now can Joe please explain to me what we voted for her for?

The old broad is vying for the chance to become Southwest Airlines' new blog-o-spondent.
They select three to go to Las Vegas for a showdown of sorts.

Just had dinner with "the old broad" in Chicago. She's even more delightful and fun than her video conveys! Do check out her video and cast your vote... - J.

Holy crap-moley! Whadda lotta Biznik love!!
Apologies for not stopping by earlier. As Jeff alluded to, I'm here in Chicago at the Creative Freelancer Conference spinning waaay too many plates. Super-fun, but everything else has fallen by the wayside.
There a bunch of entrants who are some highly motivated self-promoters (boy howdy, and good on them!), so who knows if I'll win. But the feedback has outstanding, as has the outpouring of support. Must figger out a way to hit some Biznik meatspace events during my six-week sojourn in the PacNW Sept/Oct.
And hey--THANK YOU TO ALL, and especially to Joe for driving this bus!!!!

Dang, looks like I got to this 1 day too late (says it ended on 8/31). So, any news?
-

Hey, Leif (and anyone else joining in now).
According to the rules on the contest site, the top 10 entries in terms of votes will get a call from SWA in the next two weeks, and after a phone interview (screening for felons? garden-variety miscreants?), they'll decide which three contestants advance to finals in Vegas.
I'll let you all know as soon as I-all know. Thanks again!
