Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion How much is too much?

There are more and more options for Web 2.0 networking out there. There are even more strategies for success that people are using in this arena.

Will you share your tips/strategies for success?

How you use our networks (maybe top 3) and one top tip others can use to have success with online networking.

I look forward to the rich discussion.

There is so much that can be said about achieving true success but it's not found in some get rich quick scheme (as some may seem to think).

Even though there are different areas of success such as success in personal, work, marriage etc.. You can say that success is a journey, not a destination.

When you're online, act with integrity, be true, be you. Someone can experience success when they overcome obstacles & problems with a true conscious effort and by application of capabilities, resources and methods. It's completely different from luck or chance that comes without effort.

When you are hungry for success, then success generates more success. Success depends on both what you do and how you do it. Success is not always about how much money you make.

Innovation is also a key to success. No one can reinvent the wheel but what improvements can you make on it. I wrote a blog post on Innovation-"Innovation is essential to your personal & economic growth." Growth is a part of success.

Many successful people have a "plan B" because failure brings about or stimulates success. If you learn from past mistakes & failures, then you should implement action steps to learn from the past, make note of it then move on to bigger & better things.

I would say focus on quality instead of quantity. People will remember you for your quality. Be open to continuous learning, no one knows everything. The more you know, the more you grow when you add that to an action plan, it can lead to your success.

There's always "one more thing" to learn! Cross-pollinate ideas with others both within and outside your company. If you feel like you know it all then you feel like there is nothing else to learn. Then you may be sabotaging or stifling your success.

Do what you do best and be passionate about it. If it brings about beneficial positive results, then you're on the road to success.

Start small, think big. Don't try to do too many things all at one time. You won't have time to perfect it. Due a few things at a time.

Start with a handful of simple things to begin with, and then progress to more complex ones. Think about not just tomorrow, but the future.

If I could sum it all up i would say, continuous research & education, learn new things, broaden your horizons, learn from the past & move forward with into the future.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
