Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion I'm still alive!

Okay... so I've pulled the famous vanishing act online for a while. Things have been incredibly busy the past few weeks (and that is a good thing)

Last week I was at a Biznik event and I was laughing to myself because I didn't want to network anymore. I was tired (Finally!)

Is there a Biznik-Anonymous group I can join for recovering Bizniks?

In any case I just needed to stop by and say howdy.

Well, "networking" can be exhausting. I agree. Biznik has definitely benefited from your participation, IMO. Best of luck in your "recovery".

Barry, I know the feeling - we all get overwhelmed sometimes. Glad to hear you're still alive and with us ;)

Hahahahaa.. hang in there dude... I just read your profile, and while I'm fried on networking as well, I'm smart enough to know I can't let up... and was kind of interested in talking w/ you after reading what you do. (....having just started a blog m'self that seems to be the internet's bestkept secret!) So you'll just have to keep on keepin' on the networking I guess!

It's an interesting point you bring up. I'm not tired of networking, but right now I have a glut of business and I feel kind of silly at the networking events. "Hi, I'm Sarah and I'm a Graphic Designer, but I can't help you right now. Call me in 3 months!"

I've been focusing on all the educational events that biznik offers because I get to improve myself and my business and do some light networking at the same time. That's something I can never get tired of. You know it comes in handy when business slows down!

    Cheers,

    Sarah

Its funny actually, I've been picking up more clients for my clients lately than I've been picking up myself. I have been actively expanding my network from a list of old contacts that it has become explosive in the past thirty days.

The act of networking is like rolling a snowball down the hill... and being the little cartoon character that gets attached to it half way down the incline. ;)

I have spent my entire career in the marketing and business development side of things... blogging and social communities online are just amazing compared to the way people were doing things just 2-3 years ago.

Don't be afraid to reach out and buzz me. I'm always up for a cup of coffee to share some ideas and network.

    Envision yourself as a Katamari!

I just got a great mental picture from this.

Yup, I get it. I'm exhausted with the marketing. It's in my sleep, I eat it, I drink it. I need to get lost in painting and lose the "mind."

On the way to doing that, I found myself with two exhibits in May. Excuse me while I go produce paintings!

Poetry is grand, and you know how to write it. I'm all about the creative impulse these days. It seems to be taking on a life of it's own for me....
