I know, it sounds really dull right? How dull can ensuring your businesses life really be? Well, I won't lie, it is dull. But it will only take 15 minutes to setup and you can ensure your data will be safe from fire, theft, hardware failure and natural disaster.

Its dull.....until it happens to you, then it gets quite exciting :)

Congrats on the new blog! Good point you make in your second post about what the cost would be to try and recover all your accounting records from paper statements and customers. Ran into a customer with that problem in the banking world many moons ago, and it was not fun at all.

If I may suggest a topic for future posts on your blog....what about security of my information once its sent to the "Data Lodge"? How do you insure that only I can retrieve the information? As a business owner, I thing that would be the first objection that I would think about when hearing your sales pitch. And be sure to not give away too much information about your in-place security -- you don't want to make it any easier for hackers. ...It also adds a little mystery :) people are attracted to mystery.

    Good luck with your business!

Hi John, Welcome to Biznik. I just checked out your website and immediately noticed the Biznik link you've already posted - that looks great! But more to the point, it looks like you've got some strong opinions about PayPal and I'm wondering if you could share your experience with them. As a web developer I've hooked up clients to several different gateways and never really know the difference. So I'd like to hear your thoughts on that. I'll start a new thread called "Best online payment provider?" and you can jump in there if like.

Wow, I forgot about this thread. It was so long ago that I posted it.

So here is an update: I relaunched the Data Lodge Blog with a new look that will mirror the relaunch of the Data Lodge main site. I have also started posting topics on both Data Backup and Data Recovery.

Again, I am open to topic ideas for the blog. Is there anything you want to hear about? For the record, I have created a post to cover your topic, John. Thanks for looking!

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
