Journo needs business seeking a loan or just got one....for story.URGENT

Hi All:

I am doing a story for a Seattle Area business paper about how difficult or easy it is to get business loans in the current climate. I need a business person (small biz is fine...medium size is better) who has recently been trying to get a BANK loan or just got one...and would be happy to tell their story about how easy or hard it was. It would be a short telephone interview....ideally today Wed or Thursday. Monday is my absolute deadline. If this is you or you know someone I would be tremendously grateful. I can't believe no one has jumped on this opportunity for some press. Is it possible that it's because no one in this solopreneur space is using loans as a way to fund your business? That's the case with us - we've never approached a bank for a loan, because we pretty much assume they'll say no.

Shirley, don't be shy in announcing it's publication. I would very much be interested in reading it. In the future, I am planning on owning a venue and would love to hear about other's personal experiences with loans from banks. I'm not one who looks for news, unfortunately. I rely on others to point it out to me. I know, I should, but...

Hi Bridget: The story is more focused on the general trends in bank lending....and which sectors are having a rougher time getting money. Only one anecdote this time about a business's experience.....but another time, maybe more...
