Who's the last Biznik you hired and how was your experience?

Me? I hired Tia Peterson today to upgrade my WordPress blog, update my themes, and figure out how to redirect stuff.

Worth every penny.

(Tell her I sent you.)

Let's see... we just hired Matt McCormick as a fulltime developer (he starts fulltime tomorrow). We also had a consulting session with Bryan Brewer yesterday, which John Adair (who just came back to work full time yesterday, yay!) sat in on, and right before that we met with Jason Levine, Kate O'Neil and (telecomuting from LA) Lisa Tran, whom we've hired to help us define the Biznik brand and improve the site design.

Today Amanda Nokes is working on our dining room table, and I'm having lunch with Christopher Johnson to talk about improving Biznik's search results.

This evening we'll be teaching a workshop at Jacob Sayles' awesome indie workspace, Office Nomads, which we've been customers of since they opened last November.

Oh, and did I mention we're looking to hire another brilliant web developer ASAP? See my "what I need" section on my profile for details...

How's that for the past 48 hours?

Hello! We had Harry Woods come out to fix our cranky old furnace, and now it has renewed life. Keith Gormezano helped us set up and learn Quickbooks. Both of these Bizniks were wonderful!

The last Biznik I hired was Ami Kiker. I have also hired Elizabeth Lee and would (and do) recommend her to all the world!

I'll look forward to seeing everyones' responses, though I doubt anyone can "beat" Dan!

    Cheers,

    Valerie

Ruth Hartmann is rocking my biz by helping me manage my processes better and prioritize things, etc.

Elizabeth Lee worked with my current client on organizing and clutter clearing. Rocked his world!

Brandi Pierce is doing my rebranding.

Valerie Ferris just helped me with a conundrum. AWESOME!

Double checking: the rules of this "game" is that money actually changed hands.

    Does that describe the above?

    Hey Dan;

Even though we "traded" large-format graphics for Bizjam sponsorship status, I'd like to be included in your list of Bizniks whom you've hired! (all that inkjet media, laminate, ink, adhesives, and EcoBoards weren't free ya know Joe).

Yeah Rick you're on the list, just not in the past 48 hours. I had to limit it to 48 hours or I'd spend all day typing instead of getting any work done!

I went to Kris Stockwell for treatment on my broken leg. He helped a lot. Art T.

Ellen Newhouse is helping me clarify my new directions (I officially "retired" on June 27 and now have to sort through my many options and interests for making best use of my wily ways).

Today I will pay Mike Jacobs the balance due for his work to settle my parents' estates--complicated ones and things are wrapping up quite tidy.

Last week I hired Valerie Myers' Consulting Group for my bookkeeping needs. It's a pleasure to delegate this task to the experts and know that my financial records will be in great shape from now on.

well, I can't beat Dan, but I did hire Daniel Genser to redesign my website and I am thrilled with the work he did. The new site should be up in the next week.

Donna Ray, Licensed Massage Practitioner. I hired her because of ongoing headaches. She did more than find the real source (in my neck and spine) and treated the pain; she backtracked, through interviews, and discovered which of my daily routines, habits and furniture (the old office chair had to go) kept aggravating my body. She (very kindly and gently) offered practical, realistic suggestions to prevent the pain in the first place. She listens well and zeros in on those trouble spots. Now she helps me with prevention, stress management and occasional kink in the neck. I’m much happier.

Even as I post this Erin Pierce and Bridget Gailey are hard at work designing and developing a website for my business. Be on the look out for the launching...when it happens you will know because we are going to bust out the champagne and you will hear the corks popping all over Seattle! Erin and Bridget are the greatest but I think everyone already knows that so they don't need my recommendation but I'll gladly give it anyway!

I purchased some beautiful salt lamps from Kathleen Whalen and also had a Vedic astrology reading and consultation done by her. Kathleen is a very generous, knowledgeable person and I highly recommend her services!

And last but not least Karyn Baker is doing some financial planning for me...because if she wasn't doing it for me, it would never get done...sound familiar? Go see Karyn she can help you out.

Anyway, hope I haven't left anyone out, if I have, I apologize...the mind is the first to go!

Let's see, Brianna Young keeps me out of hot water with lots of fabulous help.

Dr. Daren Penry, chiropractor, untwists my cranky neck regularly :)

Tom Faley manages my money and helps me save for my dreams and my retirement. He's super cool to work with.

Beve Kindblade gave me an amazing nutrition plan to keep my immune system in top shape.

I could go on and on...! -g

Got my unsightly eyebrow (and unmentionable) hairs sugared off by Laura Becker.

And btw, I've started a companion post: Last Biznik who helped you.

I posted my whole response to Rachel's link. I can't easily separate help from hire, because in some cases they go hand in hand. =)
