Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Lotsa Chocolate Events now posted

Apologies for the cross-post, but it has been quite some time since we had activity on Hannah's Indie Chocolate Lovers thread and I want to make sure folks are aware of what's going on.

Hannah and I have been working on arranging a really-big choco-ramic evening of networking around the topic of Sustainability in the Chocolate industry (which BALLE will hopefully become involved in) that will now happen some time in January. However, due to popular [!] demand we also decided to do a simpler event right away.

In the meantime, Victoria Odell also stepped up to the plate and already posted a wonderful evening of networking, chocolate and wine!

So there are Chocolate Networking events happening Nov 3 (https://biznik.com/events/2007/11/3/amazing-biznik-chocolate-factory-networking)

&

Nov 6 (https://biznik.com/events/2007/11/6/biznik-chocolate-night)

So there you have it, more chocolate than you can shake a stick at!

    Hey Brian,

Are you saying there's too much chocolate happening here? :>)

Have you counted how many women there are in the Seattle area Biznik Community?

There should be AT LEAST one chocolate event PER WEEK!

Diamonds and chocolate are a girl's best friend!

Thank you Brian for the dates clarification.

    Mary :>)

    Mary,

Are you trying to imply that chocolate is a women's thing ?-)

Chocolate is a medicinal creation and a basic food group that benefits the guys too.

Chocolate and wine, chocolate and a smokey single malt scotch, chocolate and a porter or a stout, chocolate and just about any nuts, chocolate and conversation, chocolate and se(beep). You name it; chocolate goes with EVERYTHING (pardon the chocolate inspired shout out).

    Oops;have I shared too much?

    John

I'm in Italy for two weeks - and doing some weird jetlag thing. WIDE awake early in the a.m. and checking out my Internet sites.

Heading to Perugia for the Eurochocolate Festival later this week. I've been before and it's a choco-holic's heaven!

    John,

Being a female I can only give that perspective. Thank you for the male perspecive. Quite interesting...Did I forget to mention hormonal moments was a great reason to have chocolate? Sorry :>)

I'm half French so I have to add chocolate and champagne!

Brian, maybe you could send out golden tickets to get into the festival. Ooompa, Lumpa, Dupity Do!

Please Dr. Hannah prescribe: "Take a handful of Peanut M&M's and call me in the morning"!

    Congrats on your TV Show!

    Mary :>)

Ha! Golden tix indeed! OMG, this is crazy enough to spin into reality. There are some profound reasons why this would be ironic. Tempting... Anyone else interested in a chocolate festival out there?

Hi, chocolate lovers. I haven't logged in in quite some time, so I missed this thread. But if you're still dreaming of a Chocolate Festival in Seattle, your dreams have been answered. This Sunday, July 13, is the Seattle Chocolate Salon -- a gathering of 24+ local and not-so-local artisan chocolatiers. GrendelSweets (my company) will be there handing out loads of samples, as will local artisans Theo, Fiori, Intrigue, and Cocoa Chai, to name a few. If you're interested, check out their website at www.seattlechocolatesalon.com.

    Bon appetit! -Elena

    Elena,

Thx for posting this. I'm not sure if I visited your booth, although I thought I hit them all. I got there early before the rush...chocolate...the breakfast of champions! The event was a lot of fun and then I spent the rest of this lovely Seattle day at the Sculpture Park and at Pike Place market. I highly recommend the event to everyone for next year!

Nancy, Thanks for coming. I hope you enjoyed yourself and had lots of tasty chocolates. There was certainly a lot to choose from. Our booth was at the back of the room, by the cruise ship. I hope you made it by, but if not, you can always come by the shop in Bellevue if you're ever in the area. :-) Our chocolates went over really well, and we even won awards for best new product and best comfort chocolate. Woo hoo! Plus we met a lot of nice chocolate makers. Can you believe how many chocolate companies there are in the Seattle area?!

    -Elena
