Hi everyone, I'm looking for a group space that can hold as many 50 people. I'll need it on a Wednesday evening in early June. Ideas? Connections?

    Hey there, Mara.

Here at Liberty, we are able to host events of up to 50 people, but much more than that tends to get a bit difficult (as some of you noticed this weekend).

Depending on what time you are thinking, here at Liberty, we would be able to offer all happy-hour prices for the duration of your event, plus we'd throw in some sushi througout the evening.

Please feel free to give me a call, and I'll let you know more, if you are looking for an attractive public place instead of a private room.

In case you are not aware, Liberty is a bar on 15th Ave. E (Capitol Hill) that serves a full-alcohol menu of all scratch drinks while at the same time an artful sushi menu.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Hi Andrew, thanks so much for the offer! The meeting is support for health-care practitioners to talk with their patients about mental-health issues, so I actually need very private space and cannot include alcohol. But I'm looking forward to the networking at your place this week!

If anyone knows of space that fits the above bill, let me know.

The Youngstown Cultural Arts Center could be a good venue to consider:

Chris Haddad, Michelle Bates and I are going to be renting it for the profile building extravaganza on June 20. I got an opportunity to check out the venue earlier this month at Seattle MindCamp, and I like it a lot. And, the director of the venue is a Biznik member - Randy Engstrom.

Here's an exhaustive listing of community event locations, put together by the City of Seattle. It's 20 pages, and a half-meg download PDF:

Finally, one more high-quality resource for you is the list of meeting spaces in or around Seattle assembled by the great folks over at OneNorthwest (online networking for the environment):
